CASE 23: Femur Osteosarcoma
- Hits: 43
Our young male patient underwent extensive resection and reconstruction with intercalary tumor prosthesis after chemotherapy for telangiectatic osteosarcoma located in the femoral diaphysis.
Before the surgery: The X-ray shows an irregularly bordered mass in the posterior femoral diaphysis causing bone destruction and extending into the soft tissue.

Before the surgery: MRI shows a giant tumor tissue in the posterior femoral diaphysis causing significant destruction, displacing neurovascular structures, and accompanied by fluid-fluid levels.

During the Surgery: Post-resection tumor prosthesis implantation and soft tissue drape are shown.

Post-Surgery: X-ray image of the incision line and the implanted tumor prosthesis.
