CASE 21: Femur Osteosarcoma
- Hits: 43
Our young male patient underwent extensive resection and total femoral prosthesis reconstruction after chemotherapy for classic osteosarcoma located in the femoral diaphysis.
Before the surgery: The X-ray shows sclerotic tumor tissue in the femoral diaphysis causing an irregular periosteal reaction.

Before the surgery: MRI shows irregularly bordered tumor tissue extending into the soft tissue, filling almost the entire femur in the same location, and accompanied by surrounding edema.

During the Surgery: The incision line, resection material, and trial prosthesis are shown.
