- Hits: 32
- 67-year-old male patient
- He had previously undergone surgery twice at different healthcare facilities for chondrosarcoma located in his right hip.
- The patient presented with groin pain and difficulty walking that had been present for the past 3 months and had worsened over time.
- The patient, who was found to have recurrence on radiological examinations, underwent extraarticular hip resection (Type 2+3 Internal Hemipelvectomy) and reconstruction with a Lumic prosthesis.
Preoperative: X-ray shows cemented total hip replacement in the right hip, titanium plate placement in the acetabulum, and recurrence of a medial acetabulum tumor.

Pre-operative: MRI confirms tumor recurrence.

During the operation: Incision planning, placement of the titanium plate over the vascular structures, and continuity after removal are observed.

During the Operation: The clinical and radiological images of the removed tumor tissue, the space created after tumor removal, and the prosthesis placement are shown.

Post-operative: The X-ray and CT scan images show the tumor prosthesis implanted after resection.
