CASE 25: Chondrosarcoma originating from the pubic arm and acetabulum

• 45 year old woman
• The patient presented with complaints of pain, swelling in the left groin area, and difficulty walking.

• The patient has multiple known osteocondoms.
• A patient diagnosed with chondrosarcoma following closed needle biopsy of a mass originating from the left pubic arm and acetabulum showed no signs of metastasis in subsequent screenings.
• The patient underwent total hip reconstruction with internal hemipelvectomy (Type III + Partial Type II).

Before the surgery: X-ray shows an irregular calcification mass originating from the inferior pubic limb and the lower surface of the astebulum; osteoarthritis is present in the hip.

Before the surgery: CT and MRI scans show a large mass of tissue with irregularly bordered calcification originating from the pubic arm and inferior acetabulum.

During the Surgery: Post-resection vascular, nerve, and joint control, and soft tissue draping with prolene mesh.

During the Surgery: Clinical and fluoroscopy images of the removed tumor tissue.

Post-Surgery: The X-ray shows a total hip reconstruction after resection.
